Jamie MacDonald's Biography 

Hailing from Glasgow, Jamie MacDonald is an award-winning stand-up comedian, writer, actor and voiceover artist, who also happens to be blind. Jamie regularly guests on top panel shows such as Have I got News for You and QI. He’s appeared on Celebrity Mastermind and in 2022 won a prestigious Grierson award in the Best Presenter category for the BBC 2 documentary he fronted called Blind Ambition. He’s written and performed 8 critically acclaimed shows at the Edinburgh Fringe, voiced adverts for the Scottish Government and David Beckham and is a regular character in 3 series of the hit BBC Scotland sit com ‘The Scotts’.  While his blindness flavours his comedy, Jamie certainly doesn't allow it to define it. Jamie has been invited to speak at the Oxford student Union, on the Moth podcast and has also delivered keynote speeches for Edinburgh University and the Hertfordshire NHS trust on Diversity and Inclusion, Disability Awareness and Living with Blindness. He is the perfect blend of humorous and informative, delivering powerful messages through his exceptional comedic talent.
