Victoria Gosling OBE's Biography
Motivational leader in Sport and FinTech. Strong believer in the transformative power of inclusion to remove barriers and enable individuals to excel.
Victoria has had an outstanding career to date with many achievements, including being the Chief Executive Officer of the
2016 Invictus Games in Orlando and the Military Executive Lead for the first Invictus Games (London 2014), inspiring 14 nations and over 400 athletes to compete. She has completed 21 years' service within the Royal Air Force culminating with the prestigious rank of Group Captain.
During her time in the RAF, Victoria served on numerous deployments around the world and prior to the inaugural Invictus Games she was the Base Support Commander for a Helicopter Base of 2000 personnel in Oxfordshire.
Victoria is a passionate sportswoman with a particular interest in urban and adventure sport. She is Chief Executive of GB Snowsport; Chair of GB Surfing, Custodian of the Rugby Centurions, responsible for creating Social Impact on a global platform, and a Board Director for the Jockey Club at Aintree Racecourse. Victoria also sits on the British Olympic Association board, where she has been nominated to be Urban Sports Advisor.
Away from sport, Vicky was a Director at Sage, helping to set up their Foundation. She has also held Board Director roles at a Manchester based money management Fintech and with Responsible Finance who work to increase access to fair finance for all.
In addition, Victoria has been a Newspaper Reviewer for the BBC; a motivational speaker for Inspiring Women and a mentor for young female leaders. Victoria also made a critically acclaimed West End debut as the Narrator in the musical Girlfriends, which is set on an RAF Bomber Command base during World War 2.
Victoria was appointed as a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the Queen's Birthday Honours List in 2004 following her deployment on Operations and for her commitment to RAF Waddington, and she was also subsequently appointed as an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the Queen's Birthday Honours List in 2014 for her commitment to RAF Benson and to adaptive sports.
She is a mother of 3 young children, fluent in Spanish, and enjoys cross fit, triathlon, playing tennis and
